Subject:  Bringing plants indoors
The cooler nights remind us our favorite plants need to be sheltered in order to prolong their life. Plants should be pretreated for diseases and pests prior and during their move inside. Although a plant may look pest free, there may be some microscopic larvae just waiting to thrive in a warmer, dryer climate inside. Plants also go through a stress period while adjusting to the indoor environment and less intense light. Products such as End All will help control pests and treatments such as Bio grow and Superthrive B1 will help reduce stress and encourage overall plant vigour. If enough light and care is given to the plants during the winter they can provide new cuttings for next season. Remember to feed with a very mild fertilizer, if any until Spring.
